Start Up and Opeka-Brick Construction Clusters participated at 37^th SEEBBE International Building Trade Fair  held in Belgrade from April 12 – 16, 2011. Clusters were presented at Belgrade Fair Hall 1 Gallery, on 1530 stand. 

The slogan of the Fair this year was “We Move Limits”. There were more than 900 participants, out of which 300 from all over the world. There were companies from 29 countries of Europe, Asia and USA, as this event is a unique one - covering the construction sector in South East Europe region. There were eight halls for the participants, with about 60,000 square meters of space.

Both Construction Clusters presented themselves at about 20m² stand, with representative advertisement banners and other materials related to their primary activities. Visitors of the Fair were able to learn more about their work through direct contacts and discussions with owners of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs. The objective was to establish new business partnerships and better market positioning. 

Cluster representatives had meetings with Czech businessmen who expressed substantial interest in cooperating with Serbian companies.

The attention of Cluster members was also focused on the additional events of the Fair:  Sustainable Green Energy Day, as a part of Serbian Government decision to acknowledge this year as the Energy Efficiency Year and promotion of Green Base – a comprehensive online catalogue of green building materials in Serbia.

Green Base is a project implemented by ACES, in cooperation with USAID and University of Belgrade Faculty of Architecture, and its objective is to connect buyers and producers of green building materials, and provide information for architects and engineers who are designing projects for their clients.

After results sum-up and estimation of Cluster members’ satisfaction, the importance of this kind of presentations was stressed out.
