Development of clusters in the construction sector stands for an important strategic alternative for an improvement of overall economy of Nisava district.


Initiative for the association of Nisava district construction sector was supported by the Danish Program for Local Economic Development in the Balkans and its partner Nis Association of Civil Engineering. With the technical support of LEDIB program on October 28th 2008 the founding conference of Construction cluster OPEKA-Brick was held, at which Contract on the founding of construction cluster was created.


From an administrative aspect, cluster administration is in the hands of the Assembly, Management board and expert boards. Cluster carriers are 15 construction companies – leaders in Nisava district construction sector.


Pursuant to the decision brought by the founders, cluster is open for reception of new members – manufacturers of construction material, construction bureaus, building contractors, investors, educational-research institutions, sectors of business association and business support services.

Vision

Strengthening of cluster members network towards its growing into innovative organization that will stand for the foundation of further business connection of members and efficient transfer of modern scientific-technological knowledge, with the aim of increasing competition and cluster members’ profit.

Mission

Promotion of construction cluster OPEKA-BRICK on national and international market with the purpose of applying and implementation of new construction projects. Meeting the needs of final beneficiaries through reliable and timely supply of products that are in accordance with European standards on quality, energy, ecology and work safety.
